I disagree with the FLSPMP's staemetnt There is no legitimate reason to deny a patient their medications when the patient presents a valid, verifiable and properly executed prescription issued by a duly licensed physician My son was given such a prescription but unfortunately the pharmacist filled it because the prescription was legal albeit dangerous to my son. My son took the medication and never woke up. I commend the pharmacists who are speaking out; they have a duty and responsibility to the patient above all to keep them safe. How can anyone have an issue with that? I wish my son had landed such a diligent and scrutinizing pharmacist and not dispensed the narcotics. Legal does NOT mean Safe ; Prescribed does NOT mean medically appropriate when dealing with narcotics and other controlled substances.
